child porn thought crime

haven't heard about anyone being arrested lately for possessing child porn. its strange that this should be illegal. watching/reading/thinking is not the same as doing.

reading about murder doesn't make you a murderer or someone who enlists/incites someone to murder. using the same rationale, reading true murder crimes should be punishable as possessing 'murderporn' if the notion is that consumption of child porn incites others to produce it.

good thing thoughts cannot be read as everyone looking at a hot 16 y/o girl, i.e. most men, would be charged with possessing childpornthought.
