time wasters

1. calling panic values only to have to go through a phone tree, wait, wait, wait, get cut off, wait

takes away from being able to actually get anything done.

2. floor calling down asking if we have 2 units on s and so

look it up! i have to drop everything to look up something that is in the computer because rn is too lazy to look it up.

why i had 160 hours 1 week... had to stay over to get paperwork done

3. increased QC

helps no one - takes time

ie- thermometer has never been off qc except when obvious during day to day examination- yet 2x/yr take 20 therms and put em into an ice bath/37* water bath w/ a $1500 special therm. to verify it can read 0 and 37.

rpms 4x yr - never been off except when won't spin at all!

thse used to be less excpet exist merely to justify their job inspectors increased it

4. printinting out everything

have an LIS doesn't matter inspector whim

rooms full of boxes.

5. Nothing on floor, everything on a cart time and $$$
water cubes, reagent cubes, boxes of computer papers, etc. etc.
